The IAQM Early Career Group meetups provide a forum to learn, practice presentation skills and network with other early-career professionals, in a friendly, supportive and accessible environment.

This series of mid-afternoon events offer a platform for early-career professionals to gain valuable experience in presenting to a moderately sized and supportive audience, as well as providing an excellent CPD opportunity which you can later use as evidence of development when upgrading from Associate to Member.

This meetup will be held at Arup Offices in Bristol on Thursday 24th January.

Schedule 

13:30 – Registration, refreshments and networking
14:00 – Welcome and introduction
14:15 – Guest presentation from Professor Duncan Laxen, Air Quality Consultants Ltd – Air Quality Management  in the UK
14:35 – Q&A Session
14:45 – Early Career Professional presentations 
  • Graeme Martin, Mabbett EHSQ Consultants & Engineers – Differences between H1, D1 and air dispersion modelling
  • Katie Petty, Arup – Air quality around ports and the mitigation options
  • Erica Powell, Arup – Airport modelling: challenges and solutions
15:30 – Q&A Session
15:45 – Discussion – How would you like the network to evolve?
16:30 – (optional) Drink at a local pub.
