Delivering real improvements in local air quality.In line with the IAQM guidance as air quality professionals, we quantify impacts (negligible, slight, moderate or substantial at individual receptors) and based on our professional judgement, conclude whether effects on local air quality are likely to be significant. The assessment of impacts considers the effectiveness of mitigation measures that are incorporated into the development proposals, but in terms of reducing residual impacts, we often don’t go far enough. We are frequently steered by local authorities…
