Call for presentations for CIEEM conference

The Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (CIEEM) are looking for presentations for their 2020 Spring Conference on the theme of  Assessment and Mitigation of Air Quality Impacts on Biodiversity.  The conference will be in Sheffield on 4th March.

The presentations should meet one or more of the following objectives:
  1. To share examples of different approaches to air quality impact assessment for biodiversity and to explore their strengths and limitations in providing a sound evidence base for decision-makers.
  2. To examine the latest research evidence on the reliability of metrics use to assess impacts.
  3. To explore the application and effectiveness of mitigation techniques on sensitive plant communities.
  4. To discuss, as a conference community, what opportunities there are to agree principles, produce guidance or otherwise encourage robust approaches to air quality impact assessment and mitigation for biodiversity.
Presentations will be 20 minutes in duration and will be followed by time for questions from the delegates. Presenters will have a free delegate place at the conference and their travel costs reimbursed.
