Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
The growing situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the UK is presenting unprecedented challenges for individuals, companies and organisations alike. As a responsible organisation, the IAQM’s primary concern is for the safety of its attendees, members, speakers, exhibitors and staff. We are therefore following the advice of the UK Government to ‘avoid social contact with others and stop non-essential travel to fight Coronavirus’ and as a result, all face-to-face events and workshops for the next few weeks will be postponed.
Where possible we will deliver events and workshops via online platforms. Please refer to the individual event page for further details around each of our events.
We will honour all bookings made for events to date and transfer these to the new event date, details of which will be circulated to you in due course.
We thank you for your support during this time.
IAQM Early Careers Network – Air Quality and Beyond Pub Quiz
November 10 @ 4:00 pm - 5:45 pm
The IAQM Early Career Group network provides a forum for Early Career Professionals to learn, practice presentation skills and network, in a friendly, supportive and accessible environment.
In these challenging times, we want to provide an opportunity for this network to learn and connect in a light-hearted and fun way. On the 10th of November we will be hosting our first virtual event which will be based around a newly written IAQM Air Quality and Beyond Pub Quiz!
Test your general knowledge, popular culture and air quality technical expertise and go head to head with other early career professionals. Questions will explore topics in ambient and indoor air quality, as well as some bonus questions on general knowledge.
Boost your online presentation skillsContinuing the format of previous meet-ups we will be hosting two presentations from early career professionals, providing an excellent opportunity for you to practice your online presentation skills in a friendly environment.
We are seeing more online events and webinars than ever before across the environmental sector making it even more important for you to perfect your online presentation skills. Practice on a subject of your choice and demonstrate your commitment to your professional development.
Presentations can be up to 10 minutes long and can cover any topic of interest, from an interesting case study to managing challenging clients. You choose the topic and format.
