North Northamptonshire Council is the single unitary council responsible for providing a range of public services to residents and businesses in the areas of Corby, East Northamptonshire, Kettering and Wellingborough. It has replaced Corby Borough Council, East Northamptonshire Council, Kettering Borough Council and the Borough Council of Wellingborough, and now delivers all the services which were previously provided by these councils.

A 12 month fixed term project officer role that requires an experienced professional with considerable air quality knowledge and understanding. North Northamptonshire Council has no Air Quality Management Areas in place and our aim is to deliver on a number of projects to help improve the air quality in the area, including submitting funding bids to DEFRA and developing consistent air quality measures across council wide strategies and policies. The post holder will be expected to work with a number of internal and external partners, including the equivalent post at West Northamptonshire Council.
