Join our Early Careers committee and help shape future services

The IAQM Early Careers Group was established in 2017 to provide IAQM Early Career professionals with a platform to develop skills, network with fellow professionals and gain valuable CPD. Since the group’s inception, there have been a series of afternoon meetups, providing a forum for early career professionals to learn, practice presentation skills and network, in a friendly, supportive and accessible environment.

We are now providing a unique opportunity for four IAQM Associate or Full members in the Early Careers Group to join the IAQM committee and help shape future activities. The following four roles are available:
  • Events Organiser: organise the venues for meetings and associated tasks, and liaise with speakers at our meetings.
  • Content and Topics Organiser: collate feedback from Early Career Group members (at meetings and more widely) on topics of interest to take forward for future events.
  • Communications and Discussions Organiser: assist with communications to members of the Early Careers Group (e.g. event details, news, website, LinkedIn).
  • Learning Resources Officer: helping develop career development resources for early stage members (e.g. courses, self-learning resources).
This is an excellent opportunity to be an influential voice in shaping the development and future of the Early Careers Group meetups and gaining valuable experience of holding a position on a committee.

Are you interested in joining and utilising this rare opportunity?

If yes, please send a short 250-word submission of interest stating why you are interested in joining the committee, which role you would like to apply for and what you feel you could bring to the role.

Submissions must be sent by email, entries close at 5pm on 24th September.
